VENO?EL® analgesic and anti-oedema gel
Composition:
1g of preparation contains active ingredients: diclofenac sodium salt (12mg), tribenoside (10mg) and escin (5mg), as well as auxiliary substances.
Indications:
- vein diseases affecting the lower limbs;
- postoperative and post-traumatic oedemas, congestive oedemas of lower limbs;
- pain complaints related to spinal column diseases;
- posttraumatic muscle and joint pains (bruises, dislocations, strains, etc.);
- joint degenerative changes.
Action:
Veno?el® is a preparation in a form of white gel for external use.
The drug contains active ingredients – diclofenac sodium salt, tribenoside, and escin. Diclofenac sodium salt is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), tribenoside is another substance of anti-inflammatory properties, while escin has a tightening effect on veins. The preparation in the form of gel is absorbed easily, and active substances diffuse into underlying tissues reaching the lesion, where the drug reveals its analgesic, anti-inflammatory and anti-oedema properties. As a result, the pain and swelling are alleviated, and the physical handicap is overcome.
Contraindications:
The preparation should not be used:
- in case of known hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients contained in the gel or to other drugs of similar action;
- during the last trimester of pregnancy and at breast-feeding;
- in case of broken skin, inflammatorily changed skin or open wounds.
The preparation should not be administered to children below 6 years of age.
Special warnings:
Take special care, if:
-allergic reactions such as rash, reddening or itching occur while administering other non steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs;
- you suffer from circulatory failure, renal or hepatic impairment;
- the preparation is administered for a long time and to large areas of the skin.
Mode of administration:
If not recommended otherwise, the drug should be applied to dry and clean skin (the usual dose is about 4 cm of gel); then, spread the gel over the painful area and massage gently until complete absorption.
The preparation should be used from 3 to 4 times daily, most often every several hours.
Veno?el® should not be used for more than several weeks (most often up to 4 weeks).
Adverse events:
Veno?el® is usually tolerated well. In rare cases, local transient skin irritation may be observed.
Storage:
The drug should be stored in a tightly closed, original package at a temperature below 200 C; keep out of the reach and sight of children.
